We are members of St. Gertrude's Parish and we experienced a sewer back up in our basement. I saw BEST Plumbing listed in the bulletin and I decided to give you a try. The appointment was made between 2:00pm and 4:00pm. I received a call from our plumber at approximately 1:30pm that he was in route to our house. BEST Plumbing cleared roots out of our sewer line and operated a camera in the sewer line. They discovered a riser installed improperly, which was broken at the lateral connection. BEST Plumbing made proper repairs, placed sand and backfilled the area. Our plumber was extremely courteous, helpful, and very professional throughout the entire process. We will be BEST Plumbing's biggest fans and appreciate the service. St. Gertrude's Parish
Jimmy P removed a 6 inch diameter root that had grown around my main water line. He was diligent in finding our the cause of the leak, kept me informed throughout the process and made sure that I was up and running with water for my family in less than an 8 hour period. It was a huge undertaking. Jimmy P was first class and polite . The had the necessary experience that was needed to get this water main break under control. He made the best of a horrible situation. Extremely pleasant and talented. I would highly suggest that all of my friends request Jimmy P at ATOMIC!

Plastic pipe is in wide use for domestic water supply and drain-waste-vent (DWV) pipe. Principal types include: Polyvinyl chloride (PVC) was produced experimentally in the 19th century but did not become practical to manufacture until 1926, when Waldo Semon of BF Goodrich Co. developed a method to plasticize PVC, making it easier to process. PVC pipe began to be manufactured in the 1940s and was in wide use for Drain-Waste-Vent piping during the reconstruction of Germany and Japan following WWII. In the 1950s, plastics manufacturers in Western Europe and Japan began producing acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) pipe. The method for producing cross-linked polyethylene (PEX) was also developed in the 1950s. Plastic supply pipes have become increasingly common, with a variety of materials and fittings employed.

Justin and Paul were extremely polite. They worked as quickly as they could and got my hot water heater replaced. I have two dogs that are a handful, and they learned their names and talked to them to help keep them calm, which meant a lot to me. I felt comfortable having them in my home. The customer service at the company was great as well, very helpful on the phone. I would recommend them.
In addition to water heaters, we also service and install well tanks, disposals, faucets, water closets (toilets), and re-piping of any type of water or drain lines. We also replace bathtubs, showers, sinks, vanity cabinets, and marbleized countertops. Are you looking for something more than simply replacing a sink or bathtub? No problem! We also provide complete kitchen or bathroom remodels to give your home a new look you'll be thrilled about.
Scott was very knowledgeable and happy to test out all items of my finikie hot water heater. He called in tech support and tested pressures and did a vent pipe test to check air flow. How do I know this, because he explained everything to me. One afternoon with him, and I could be a tech. All joking aside. I appreciate the continued support of Atomic. Scott's professionalism and willingness to keep me in the loop is spot on. Thanks Scott.
In urban areas, the emptying of chamber pots straight into the street, and the accumulation of piles of human waste, resulted in disease and an unpleasant urban environment. Night-soil men were often employed to collect excreta, which was spread on the fields as fertilizer. Although Sir John Harrington had developed an indoor flushing toilet for Queen Elizabeth I in 1596, it was not until the rise of mass industrialization and urbanization in the nineteenth century that domestic toilets were mass-produced in northern England. Flushing technology was improved through the efforts of inventive manufacturers such as John Shanks, George Jennings, Alexander Cummings, and Thomas Crapper in the United Kingdom (Reyburn 1969) and Thomas Maddocks, John Randall Mann, William Campbell, and Henry Demarest, among others, in the United States (Palmer 1973). Early toilet manufacturers were generally companies that had first made their name in the manufacture of china and earthenware. Such English companies as Minton, Twyford, and Doulton adapted their production processes to make porcelain toilet bowls and pans. Toilet design was based upon the “sit” rather than “squat” mode of excretion (which required nothing more than a hole in the ground). The sit approach required a specific and highly marketable consumer product, the “pedestal” toilet, along with all the plumbing fixtures, such as taps (faucets), cisterns, basins, and fittings that together made up the “bathroom.” Interestingly, urinals for men, although a common feature of public toilets, are not generally a feature of private domestic bathrooms. These artifacts were exported from Britain to the rest of the world as a sign of modernity and Western progress, and were rapidly adopted for fear of being seen as “backward” or “dirty,” in spite of the fact that the majority of the world’s population squats when eliminating waste, a position that is ergonomically more healthy and efficient.
Hello I had a plumber do an estimate for me to replace our copper pipes with plastic as we have no existing walls up in our basement yet...pretty basic job... so we figured we could upgrade as we do live in Northern Ontario and it does tend to get quite cold here in the winters.  We dont have any existing problems with our plumbing right now just figured it would be good time to do the job and perhaps change the pipes to 3 quarter inch for faster flow.  Well I never thought in all my life I would get an estimate back that would state $350.00 an hour in labor...yes that is correct $350.00 an hour...estimated 10 hours for the job to be completed.  So he quoted me $3500.00 for labor alone.. not supplies?  Well needless to say I will be happy with my half inch copper pipes and will happily wait for my bathtub to fill up at a slower pace.  Just wanted to know what your thoughts are on this $350.00 an hour quote?  Thank you and enjoy your day.
Top notch service -- rapid response too!Had a leaky pipe to a washing machine. Called Atomic Plumbing at 8 AM -- they arrived at my house on time and less than 2 hours after my initial call to them. James & Paul were my technicians. Professional, polite, efficient and skilled, they rapidly replaced dated water valves and -- I must say, they did a great job. The repairs not only are functional, but they look great, too!I especially was impressed with the method of pricing. They assess your issue, then provide a flat-fee repair price before any work is done. Their prices are reasonable with no surprises.Highly recommend this company if you want it done right the first time by professionals.

Ryan and Zach came to my house on both Saturday nigh and Sunday. I had a houseful of company one person was 86 years old and our plumbing was backed up. Ryan was able to get us comfortable for Saturday night and assuring me that the flooding would stop. On Sunday he and Zack came out and fixed the problem. Both were not only very professional but also very personable and easy to work with. They addressed the problem and thoroughly checked out our septic system to ensure that everything was running smoothly.. atomic plumbing went above and beyond in a time of need for the Lamb family and I thank them immensely for their efforts and service. Sincerely Donald
Had a main line back up on a cold rainy day. I checked google for a reliable plumber and called the first one that came up which was Atomic. Called and talked to DeAnne and she was very helpful. She had Ryan call me and I told him what was going on, he told me he would be here in 15 minutes. 12 minutes later Ryan pulled in and I showed him the problem, he told me the price and I told him to go for it. Ryan had this power snake the likes of which I have never seen before, it not only powered through the clog with no problem he was able to tell me how far down the pipe the clog was to within a couple of feet by the number of sections he used to reach it. To be on the safe side He ran the snake a few feet past the clog which put it just past the city clean out. Both DeAnne and Ryan were courteous and professional and got my problem resolved quickly and at a reasonable cost.I will be recommending Atomic to everyone I know. Hopefully Ryan will be able to take care of others with his wonder snake.

Cold water alerted us that something was wrong with our 10 year old water heater. We called Atomic Plumbing on a Saturday evening and they had appointments available the very next morning! The ladies answering the phones were incredible and the system they have in place to alert you when your technician will be coming is top notch (including a picture and information about your technician in e-mail form). We found our technician, Randy, to be honest, professional and incredibly talented. He diagnosed our problem in a short amount of time, gave us several reasonable options and was able to give us a brand new water heater the next day for a great rate. Cannot say enough good things about Atomic Plumbing & Drain Cleaning and will definitely be using them in the future!

Most large cities today pipe solid wastes to sewage treatment plants in order to separate and partially purify the water, before emptying into streams or other bodies of water. For potable water use, galvanized iron piping was commonplace in the United States from the late 1800s until around 1960. After that period, copper piping took over, first soft copper with flared fittings, then with rigid copper tubing utilizing soldered fittings.
